Personal Data
By using paintbase.app, you accept our data protection policy and our processing of your personal data. We are committed to protecting your personal privacy and do not collect more data than necessary to process your order. We never sell your data to third parties without legal basis.
Paintbase.app is responsible for the processing of personal data that you provide to us as a customer. We process your personal data to manage your order and, when you have requested newsletters or promotional offers, to customise our marketing to your individual needs.
The information below is a summary of how we store and process your data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
§ 1 What is personal data?
Personal data is any information that can be directly or indirectly attributed to a natural person.
§ 2 What data do we store?
To manage your order and respond to questions related to your order (customer service), we store your first and last name, address, phone number, email address, IP address, and purchase history. Your data is stored as long as we have a legal basis for processing your data, such as fulfilling the agreement between us or complying with a legal obligation, for example, under accounting law.
§ 3 Legal basis
In connection with a purchase, your personal data is processed to fulfil the agreement with you. Marketing, promotions, and similar communications are sent with your consent.
§ 4 What data is shared and for what purpose?
§ 4.1 Payment provider
When making a purchase, information is shared with our payment provider. The data stored includes first name, last name, address, email address, and phone number. If you choose to pay by invoice, your personal identification number is also saved by the payment provider. This information is stored to complete the purchase and protect both parties from fraud. The payment providers (payment services) we use are Stripe.
In order to offer you Stripe's payment methods, we may share your personal data, such as contact and order information, with Stripe at checkout. This enables Stripe to assess whether you can choose their payment methods and customise them for you. Your personal data shared is processed according to Stripe's own data protection information.
§ 4.2 Google Analytics and Google Ads
We use Google Analytics to analyse the use of our website and improve its functionality. Google Analytics collects information about your use of the website, including your IP address. This data is transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. Google uses this data to evaluate your use of the website, compile reports on website activity, and provide other services related to website activity and internet usage.
We also use Google Ads for online advertising. Google Ads collects information about your interactions with our ads, including which ads you have viewed, on which websites, and any actions taken on those websites. This data helps us track the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns and improve our marketing strategies.
Your data shared with Google Analytics and Google Ads is processed according to Google's privacy policies.
§ 5 Right to access
You have the right to obtain a record of all information held about you by us. Records will be provided electronically in a readable format.
§ 6 Right to rectification
You have the right to request that we update incorrect information or supplement incomplete information.
§ 7 Right to erasure
You can request the deletion of your personal data at any time. There are few exceptions to the right to erasure, such as when we must retain data to fulfil a legal obligation (e.g., under accounting law).
§ 8 Data protection officer
Paintbase.app is responsible for the storage and processing of personal data in the online store and ensures compliance with the rules.
§ 9 How we protect your personal data
We use industry standards such as SSL/TLS and one-way hashing algorithms to store, process, and communicate sensitive information, such as personal data and passwords, securely.
